Dr. Ray Klump

Professor and Chair of Computer Science and Mathematics

Professor and chair of Computer Science and Mathematics at Lewis University, Ray Klump earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000. He specialized in simulating electric power systems to determine their proximity to voltage collapse. He has worked as Software Engineer and Senior Consultant for PowerWorld Corporation since 1997 and as a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Lewis University since 2001. He served as Visiting Research Scientist with the Information Trust Institute at the University of Illinois from 2009 to 2012. He is currently Professor and Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science and Director of the Master of Science in Information Security at Lewis University. He has 20 publications in electric power system analysis, computational techniques, data visualization, and cyber security of critical infrastructures.
