During his career with the Bureau of Prisons, Dr. Edwards held numerous positions of increasing responsibilities including Warden at four federal prisons and Regional Director in three of the six regions within the Bureau of Prisons.

Dr. Natalia Tapia

Graduate Program Director of Criminal Social Justice

Dr. Natalia D. Tapia is the Director of the Criminal Social Justice Graduate Program. She received her J.D. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (South America) in 2002, her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in 2004, and her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2011.

Dr. Lynn A. Tovar

Assistant Professor in the Justice, Law and Public Safety Studies Department at Lewis University, Romeoville Ill.

In addition to her teaching duties at Lewis University in the areas of juvenile justice, domestic violence and leadership, Dr. Tovar continues to consult with police departments and other public safety agencies on matters of criminal and social justice, human resource development, leadership education and vicarious traumatization of first responders.
