Dr. Cindy Howard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at Lewis University. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2010. Her dissertation, entitled “Knowledge Co-construction and Initiative in Peer Learning Interactions”, focused on the development of a computational model of peer learning. Dr. Howard joined the Lewis faculty in 2009. Her current research interests include computer science education, affect detection and mobile applications.
